In July 1999, Jerome Constantino left a promising career in SGV & Co. to head the operations of an auditing firm which is now CG&Co. as Managing Partner and Chief Operating Officer. He has over 30 years of extensive experience in public practice, particularly In the fields of auditing, business risk management, business planning, industry research studies, and management and tax consulting. He also served as financial consultant and reviewer of a consortium of banks in connection with a debt restructuring agreement of a distribution company.
Jerome is a member of the Auditing Assurance Standards Council, the body authorized to establish and promulgate Generally Accepted Auditing Standards in the Philippines. As President of the Association of Certified Public Accountants in Public Practice (ACPAPP), he was given a presidential award in 2001 for his contribution in pursuing the long-term research and professional development objectives of ACPAPP.
A recipient of the Outstanding CPA in Public Practice Award from PICPA Metro Manila in 2002, he was the President of PICPA-Eastern Metro Manila Chapter and a former member of PICPA’s public practice sector.
He is also an active member of the Tax Management Association of the Philippines and the Financial Executives Institute of the Philippines. He also served as President of the Rotary Club of Makati-EDSA.
A graduate of the University of Santo Tomas (UST) where he obtained his Bachelor of Science in Commerce degree, major in Accounting, he was awarded Outstanding Alumnus of UST in 2004 for his achievements in the practice of Public Accounting. He completed Management Development Programs at AIM and the International University of Japan. He also attended various Audit and Risk Management training programs at Arthur Andersen in St. Charles, Illinois, USA.
